Henning is leading research on quantum technologies at McKinsey & Company and serves banks across Europe and the Middle East on large-scale IT and data transformations. He is helping financial industries overcome legacy obstacles and drive digitalization. He specifically focuses on bringing key innovation topics and the latest developments to McKinsey as well as to his clients and leads several aspects of our innovation and knowledge work. Henning also supports clients on IT strategy, IT architecture, and technology modernization programs, including core banking system transformations and full replacement across the architecture—from front end to data layer. He helps companies leverage cloud and modern architectures, such as accelerating API programs for rapid innovation. Henning is McKinsey's global leader for research on quantum technologies and its industrial applications. He holds a PhD Degree in Physics from University of Heidelberg as well as Diploma Degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Business Administration from the Universities of Heidelberg and Fernuni Hagen as well as a master's degree in Physics from University of Oregon.
